Carefree Travel'r awning stuff

Hey gang, I previously commented on the BT12 upgrade fail thread with no comments. I haven't failed with the upgrade YET. I don't want to break anything else on this 08 Berkshire. So I was having any issue with the awning coming away from the side of the MH when I started to extend. I would have to grab it near the top to get it to start rolling out. That's fine except when the wind comes up and slaps the awning right up next to the MH. Not good. I ordered and replaced the jack spring on the right side powered arm because the other arm wasn't really moving when the wind came up. After I installed that I was retracting the awning and it quit about 2ft out. I lost power to the whole damn thing. I didn't know there was a controller mounted up in the cabinet above the passenger seat. Well I do now. I still had power coming to the 12v supply and that power goes away when the key is turned on. So here's my question... where do you connect the Ign Lockout wire? and which wiring should I use on the motor control? Direct Motor Control or Dry Connections? I have the 3 wire setup coming from the front panel switch... Gees I hope this makes sense. thanks, Randy

well gang I got it in and working I was really slow and deliberate with the install as I didn't want to screw up anything else on the MH. put the controller in behind the switches on the front panel. I am considering using a 3v supply on the wind sensor since the major complaint is battery life. Just wondering if anyone here knows if the wind sensor will have to be paired every time I try to use the system? I don't really want to take apart the motor housing to be replacing the batteries all the time.
Thanks Randy Baker
