Coach Battery Test

To any battery experts out there: Give it to me straight doc, how much time do I got? Or time to replace? Fully charged, resting after 4 hours, all cells same.

Hi! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Noticed you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello. Unless there's a good reason you need to wait I would go ahead and replace those batteries! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks I figured I needed to replace, but I believe the specific gravity reading is about 1.235 - I looked that up on a chart and the SOC would be 75-80%? Its confusing.

I read on another thread yesterday that you should do the test four times to get an accurate result.

Might be interesting to try that.

Only reason to wait would be until I can afford Lithium Batteries! I know there is a lot of opinions out there, but economically I wonder if I should replace with 6V AGM's for half the price and wait for Lithium to become more affordable. I don't think I want to put out 2+ grand for batteries right now...
