Colman Mach Air Conditioner mod

I have searched and couldnít find any one that had a mod for my AC so I made one for myself. RV Airflow wasnít an option they only do a few that one size fits all. Then I found one that you make from 1 inch foam but this wouldnít work because the base of my air vents was like less then 1/4 inch so I figured I am screwed. On my home from getting the RV ready I passed those hated yard signs then it came to me. I had purchased the foam that didnít work but wait I still can use it for the upper corners and front dam. No I didnít steal a yard sign but bought a plane white one. In total under $10 for the fix for 2 units.

Forgot this picture of it closed up before I put the grill on. With the grill on it seem a lot quieter and more efficient and when I turn the back unit on you really can tell the difference. Come Monday the generator will be back on line had to change oil and filters on it they were dirty. So I am going to run it all day while I get ready for my trip this coming week to Tennessee. This way I can tell if I have a winner. The grill is flush like it should be on this install too. Once I figured out the changes it took about an hour to do this and I did use my belt sander to grind the edges.

I used some coroplast to make an 'A' Frame that sits in the discharge plenum of my roof AC
Top of 'A' splits the Fan room air wheel so air flows directly down each side of 'A' and is forced out the duct work

Did that back in 2008....forgot I did that MOD...or HACK in todays vernacular until I read your post
Did increase airflow thru the ducts and somewhat quieter
