Commode losing water

My commode will not close all the way. It leaves about one inch open and water continues to run. I take my hand and push the pedal all the way up and the bowl fills up sometimes leaking out. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks

Owner's manual may have better instructions. What is the make and model of the toilet.

If it's original equipment in your 2002 motorhome, just buy a new toilet and be done with it.

Mentioning more details will get a better answer. Most toilets can be repaired with few parts and will be like new but first we'd have to know the make and model of the toilet before we could say what you'd need to do to fix it.

Sounds like it needs a new water valve and ball seal. Parts are available through Amazon.
