RV make and model as well as gen set info ; will be a big help with getting you good replies .

Repairs to my Onan 7500 Quiet diesel on my 99 Newmar pusher ; might be a LOT different than what you require.

Two different things--permanent OEM exhaust pipe attached to genset Vs temporary venturi-style exhaust pipe for diverting fumes up and away from neighbors? So which one are you asking about? OEM pipes are fairly generic but their installation my vary by RV manufacturer. Venturi vents pipes require the OEM pipe to be in place in order to attach to and use them.

Not sure what you need, I would hold onto the damaged exhaust till you get it fixed. I have found it very hard and expensive to to totally replace one on my Winnebago Journey. Cummins custom made one for me the first time. I was able get it straightened and made round again the second time time.

Onan RVQD 3200 on a class C. Would like to run pipe so I can disconnect when not using. The original piping hanging down 6 inches caused the problem

Doing that would prevent using the generator to run the coach AC while driving. Or maybe the correct way to put it, using the generator without the pipe to direct the exhaust out from under the coach would be unwise because CO emissions could build up inside the coach. A better option would be to have the pipe rerouted, so it is less exposed.

I would find a little muffler shop and take the rig to them. Explain what happened and what you would done. They can make a pipe then you can install, or they may do it for you.

Correct. It's just an engine and an exhaust should be easy to fabricate by a good muffler shop. Of course, there must not be any leaks.

Different routing to achieve more ground clearance should be possible but you don't want the pipe to end under a window. Also, the end should be supported to allow a vertical venturi pipe (Genturi) to be attached when needed. Don't do what I did on a previous MH and have the new pipe exit under a cargo door so the Genturi, when installed, blocked the door

Did it damage the exhaust manifold. That would be a whole different issue?

This is exactly how Thor built the 2018 Freedom Elite - generator exhaust out the side beneath the slide under the bed area. Talk about stupid engineering. I relocated it out the back, no windows or slide seals there.

The only issue I had was the muffler shop didn't have the small pipe diameter, so the extension is a slightly larger diameter

If the muffler isn't damaged, & you still have the original tailpipe, have a muffler shop bend you a new pipe to reattach. Then raise it at the hanger most likely at the side of the coach.

I had a mufler shop bend new pipe and I fabricated a new flange and welded it to the pipe so I could re route my exhaust out the back. I also installed heat shielding on top of the pipe.

Exhaust system shop

Found an exhaust system shop that is going to fabricate piping that I can install onsite. I only run generator a half dozen times a year when I am boondocking in the summer. The A/C in the cab is strong enough to keep cool while driving. Thanks for all your replies
