Dash A/C

My dash a/c quit working so I pushed the button and the light came on but when I release it it goes off, If I hold it in the a/c cools great till I let go of the button I pulled the control panel out and the switch is attached to a control board Thats above my pay grade ! Any help would be appreciated

I had something similar happen on my 2002 Lexus. After some research I learned a relay that controls the compressor could be the issue. I got one from AutoZone for $20 and that fixed it.

Tape the switch IN temporarily. The catch on the switch has gone bad from over use.

I would get an ohm meter and test the switch, it sounds like it's a bad switch.

Ohm meter won't tell you anything about this.

The switch is working, its just not latching.

Another knowledgable guy for RV AC stuff is: A/C Parts Automotive and Motorhome
