Did my good deed for the day!

We helped an older new timer avoid the "pile of poo"!

I noticed the campers across from us had what appeared to be their black and grey tank valves wide open. When I noticed the man was in his 60's I was a bit reluctant. I figured he would tell me he knew what he was doing. When I finally convinced myself it would be worth it to try he was very appreciative.
As it turns out him and his wife are venders and just bought the trailer. Like others, he thought if you had full hook ups you just hook up the sewer hose and both valves. We went through the proper procedure and he was more than happy to know the info.

That is mighty gracious of you. Always a risk to tell someone that they MIGHT not have the correct setup.

As an electrician I have had to instruct plenty of "know it alls" on how to reset an electrical breaker. Most people are very appreciative, but sime don't know you have to completely flip the breaker off and then back on and they will argue to no end

REALLY! it's great you helped them out but being 60 doesn't make you an OLD TIMER.

I know brother..... I'm knocking on that door soon enough.

Just with my preconceptions, I was assuming older meant experienced. I learned this is not necessarily the case. So help out if you can and if they tell you to mind your own business it's not a big deal.

If I see someone not doing a correct procedure I might help them. If they ask I will.
