Diesel heater exhaust on inverter Generator

Hi, I was wondering if anyone is using a diesel heater exhaust extension, on an inverter generator. If so, how is it holding up?
For the price, I presume they are very thin material and was wondering if they would over heat on a generator exhaust?

If you are thinking about the stainless steel flex pipe about 1 inch or so ID, it should hold up well.

That's exactly what I am thinking about. I thought I read somewhere that someone had an issue with one failing on a generator, but I can't find it again. From what I've read, a generators exhaust can get twice as hot as a diesel heater.
