Does a Coleman ? 15 btu ac have a soft start
On my new orv 2025 24 rks . 3600 watts to start less to run Two 2200 watt Hondas paralleled 4400 watts should do it . I already have a one would need another one a ( companion ) how about a wen or general. Less money don’t really need a ac in alaska to much but sometimes

No, the Coleman 15k does not come with a soft start but it can be added.

So if I parallel two Honda 2200 w gens to start my ac can I shut one down and just run one 2200 w to keep it going ie less noise and fuel or will it trip the breaker on a single gen when the ac cycles. A 3 gallon extended tank plus 1 gallon should run the ac all night or all day as needed

Or you can buy an A/C soft-start for $300 and run it off the one generator you already have.

I had a soft start on my truck camper. It had a single battery and a 13.5 btu Coleman My old 2000 Honda would start the ac but at very hot temps would/ might kick the breaker out on the Honda.But your right soft starts are the way to go .

I installed a Microair Soft Start on a new 15k Coleman Mach 8 last year.
My 2000 w Furman generator will run it without issue, but I do have to shed other loads.

I run my ac on softstart with one Honda 2200eu modified to run on propane, so no gasoline issues to deal with, just plug into propane port on trailer!
Of course can’t run much of anything else, including the converter to charge batteries.

Microair does a offer a FREE extended warranty (if your A/C unit is less than 6 years old) If your compressor should fail within 2 years of installation they will pay for a new compressor. Read it here:

Likely the same wiring, I use the micro-air as it is carried by Hutch Mountain a reputable dealer who also sells the Honda generator propane conversion kit.

Yes I know Hutch Mountain good outfit I have one of there units to run my second Honda at home on natural gas. Works great .Runs my heat so we don’t freeze up. Some lights via electrical cord. When there’s a long power outage or earthquake or volcano eruption the gas stations become very busy. Less gasoline I have to store also
