Dometic 2-way Fridge..igniter or thermocouple?

Dometic RM2651.........The fridge works fine on 110v, but recently will not ignite on propane. I can hear (1) click when turning it on and the gas flows but no ignition. I can light it manually from outside. Soooo, should I replace the thremocoupler or the igniter, or both?

Check the manual for your refrigerator, (download one if you don't have it) it usually tells you the gap needed for the ignitor. Usually the manual will have a guide for troubleshooting and testing to see if the ignitor is getting power.

If the thermocouple was bad, it would ignite but then go out in about 5 seconds when no heat was sensed.

I found the Diagnostic Service Manual on-line. I will be checking voltage, running through the test procedures and removing some rust between the burner tube and it's mount which can cause a failure to spark. I'll report back later............

Clean the gunk out of the burner while you are in there.
