Dometic 2652 frig. temp up and down

2000 class A frig, last week on 120volt only it was 15* in freezer and 35* in frig. this week the freezer went down to about 20* then up to 30*. the frig got down to 40* then up to 50* I have propane shut off, and plugged into 120Volt, I took the side vent off, the cooling unit was very hot, then took the top cover off roof vent and every thing looked ok. when I had both covers off it seemed to get about 10* cooler. do I need to clean out the flue vent stack? I am new to this, thanks

You could try ventilation. Also fans inside for better circulation. Some put exhaust fans in the rear to help with getting the heat out. Ours was also a 2000 that I did everything to prolong it's life. Ultimately too much spoilage. Finally got fed up fighting it and put in a residential.

Lots of info out there on fridge mods. I have a 2011 sunseeker with a 2652 also. I would recommend starting with an exterior fan into and an interior fan unit, should be pretty dramatic improvement just doing those two. I have also done a dinosaur control board and variable thermostat which also helped, see links below good luck.

Welcome.

First, sounds like you need to learn how these refrs work. They use HEAT to make COOL. Once you learn how a gas absorption refr works (no it doesn't absorb the LP) then the modifications to help it cool will make a lot more sense.

Here's one found online I mounted mine in the same manner. Helps pull air over coils, creating a draft.
