Dometic A/C control conversion kit

Hello, recently I had to switch out an older AC/Heat pump unit with a new Dometic Penguin unit and am now searching for the 12 button to 5 button controller conversion kit (Part 3313107.107)

Dometic says on back order and has no idea when it will be available - for now I have no AC/Heat pumps or furnace working - been like that for 2 months now.

I have been online searching for the part with no luck - anyone happens to have this part kicking around and willing to sell?

Thanks

Lance

Any possibility of returning the Penguin?

I just replaced an old Penguin with an Atwood Air Command. All of the control stuff is built in, no separate boxes to match up. BTW, it's a lot quieter. It is a few inches taller, though.

Hi Lance,

Assuming that your new Penguin has a CCC2 compatible control board, it may be easier to just change the thermostat to the new CC2 style. Amazon has them for around $125, less costly than the conversion kit.

Thanks for the suggestion - at the end of the day, this is what I ended up doing, however, in the process, I had to find the CCC2 compatible control board for my other Heat pump unit that had been upgraded in 2013 and dummied down with a control board that would speak to the older thermostat.

Fortunately, that CCC2 was available and I swapped out the other control board with the new board. Now I have one of the control boards that I was originally looking for, as well as the Duo Therm thermostat for sale in the Classified section - hoping that I may be able to help someone else out who is looking or this part.

If your new unit is an A/C only, then you need this part: Duotherm Dometic Air Conditioner Control Board 3109229-009 - 46-4791
https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/...229009_46-4791

If it's a heat pump, then you need this control board: Duotherm Adapter Kit, CCC2 To CCC Heat Pump - 3313107.107
https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/...ps_3313107.107
You'll see that both are currently unavailable.

Check out the link above for a much better solution to control your AC unit. Maybe they can help you with your issue.

Without the conversion control board you have two choices.
1. You can replace both A/C units with new along with a new thermostat. Many times when one unit fails the other fails shortly after anyway.
2. Or, you can isolate the new A/C by routing a new RJ11 phone cord to a new thermostat that controls only the new A/C.

Thanks Nomad245!

I知 going to get with my service provider today and determine whether to take you up on your offer or return the heat pump we replaced about a year ago to the new configuration and change thermostats as mentioned previously.

Ok, what I ended doing was I had one unit that was replaced in 2015 that had the conversion board installed and then the other (original 2005) unit went out and I too could not find the conversion anywhere, so I ordered the Dometic 3312022 board on Amazon and installed on the 2015 A/C unit, this saved me from buying another A/C and allowed both units to communicate with the new Dometic 3314082000 thermostat. Hope that helps
