Dometic CCC2 with older 620525?

I just bought a brand new Dometic Comfort Control Center 2 Thermostat. I keep getting an E1 code and have tried all of the trouble shooting I can find online.

I’m wondering if I have an issue with my comm cables, boards, or if it is just not going to work since my units are 620525 and not listed as an option for the CCC2. They are the original units on our 2004 Four Winds Windsport 36A.

I’d suspect a bad comm cable except our original thermostat works. I’m just trying to update and upgrade it.

To my knowledge ( just replaced one of my ac units and dealt with converting it to work with my 5 buttons) the new ccc2 aren’t compatible with that old of a ac. All the new ac are designed to work with the ccc2 and have to have a replacement board ( 150$) to be compatible with the older 5 button . I can’t imagine the reverse isn’t true.

I may try calling Dometic tomorrow. I seems insane to spend another $300 to be able to utilize a new $140 thermostat. If that’s the case I’ll probably just return it. If I was needing to replace the AC units and they new units could run off of the CCC2, then I’d gladly pay the $140.

The conversion circuit board is for the new ac unit to old 5 button thermostat. I dont think they make one for your old ac to the new thermostat at any price. Return it and buy / use a 5 button , they are still available. That the cheapest way to go
Or there is a new company that makes a digital thermostat ( you can control it with your phone) $$ 250 bucks that might work .. they make them in many types with one for those older ac units I can’t remember the name but it’s the same company that makes a soft start unit for them.

You will need to replace the control boards in your rooftop A/C units to make them compatible with the CCC2 thermostat.
