Dometic DM2852 Issue

Trying help a friend. He has a Dometic DM2852 fridge, one fan, no ice maker. The issue id the none of the LED's on the eyebrow are coming on. The unit is cooling and the inside light comes on. HAs tested all the fuses and they are good. Tested the ribbon cable up to the eyebrow board. Have 12v on all wires except the orange one. Not sure if this is the ground or not. He has replaced both the boards, same issue. He has noticed that when he attaches the power board (back of unit outside) he is getting a spark, like it's grounding. I do not think this should be happening. Looking for any suggestion as to what or where to check. Thanks

I have a 2862 but I believe the wiring is the same.

If it's sparking I would disconnect the 6 wire connector and check each wire to ground for a short.

Red should be Negative and Orange Positive to feed the eyebrow.

Green is positive back down for gas.
Black is positive back down for electric.

You can test it on the larger 6 wire connector on the board (backside) when the fridge is powered up. If no voltage check the 3 amp fuse. If good voltage then test again at the eyebrow connector. Really small connector at the eyebrow connector. I used sewing needles as probes.

My 2862 was doing the same thing (still cooling but no eyebrow lights). Voltage checked out good at the eyebrow ribbon connector. It ended up being the eyebrow board itself.

Thanks for the response. I'll check those connections again. I am fairly sure I had voltage on all of them except the orange. One thing to add that I just found out. He did get a new power board and a new eyebrow board. Same result, but he said that when he went to mount the power board he got a spark and it blew the 15 amp fuse in the trailer for the fridge. Not sure if this should be the ground for the board or not. Never seen this before on most that I have worked on. I've attached a picture of the bod with the mounting hole circled that I am referring to.
