Dometic DM2852 on AC but no Propane

Had generator on and refrigerator on Auto so it was running on AC. Had to turn off propane going in tunnel under the Chesapeake Bay and later discovered refrigerator quit working. Turned gas back on and Refrigerator works again on AC. So it looks like the Refrig has to see gas pressure to even work on AC / Auto mode. Is there a way to force it to AC only? I only see Auto and GAS as modes. I'm planning on doing the ferry to OBX and I think they make you turn off the propane on the boat and don't want the refrig to go south.

That doesn't sound right , not having propane pressure shouldn't effect 120v operation, you could check the wiring schematic on the back of the fridge , but I'm sure there is no pressure switch involved.
Also , turning off the service valve, would have locked pressure in the coach system, and that pressure should remain for weeks if the system is as air tight as it should be.

I went through my MH, wrote down all the appliance model numbers, downloaded the manuals, printed them, and put them in a binder (Office Max can "spiral bind" these with a nice clear plastic cover front cover and a thick black back cover. I keep these in the MH for reference.

ANYWAY

Here is a link to the Dometic Manual.

http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/opera...2operation.pdf

Page 9 talks about how to select the AUTO/MANUAL mode. In the MANUAL mode, whichever mode (120volt or LP) the frig is running on will continue to run on that source and will no switch over automatically.
