Dometic Fridge

I have a donetic fridge Mod # RM2852 Book said that fridge will run on 120v ac when available when not will automatically switch to LP. Buttons on top are on /off, and gas also a red light indicating auto. Can the fridge be set up to run on LP even if 120v ac is plugged in.

Sounds like your control panel is the same as mine , and yes you can select " Gas " with the button, even when on shore power , it disables the " Auto " function. and within 45 seconds a yellow light will come on , indicating gas is operating.

Your control panel has limited selection
On/Off button
Mode Button...selects AUTO when depressed and GAS when not depressed
Automatic Refrigerator Temperature Control (No Temp Settings)

AUTO Mode (Auto Light ON)
120VAC has priority when AC Power is available
If 120VAC power is lost...auto mode swaps to GAS operation
Swaps back to AC when Power is restored
**If GAS fails to light/prove it lit-----CHECK Light comes on

GAS Mode (Auto Light OFF)
Operates on GAS regardless if AC is available or not
Does NOT swap to AC if GAS Fails....just get the CHECK Light
