Dometic Frig Freezing on both sides

I have a RM7732 Elite side by side Dometic frig that is freezing on both sides. So I replaced the thermistor with an adjustable thermostat from Snip-the-Tip and did not replace the wiring from the board to the inside of frig. The ohms reading on the new thermostat is between 8k and 12k ohms. But it still goes down to about 16 degrees in the frig. I checked the DC voltage to the board and it is above 12V.

Any ideas what is wrong or what I could try?

Thanks, John

If you haven't done so already, slide the temp adjuster to a new position.

It is located on the right side of the cooling fins on the inside back wall of the refrigerator.

In most fridge models, if the controller board does not get a signal from the thermistor, it will always run at max cold. Check the wiring from thermistor to the board.

Update

Finally, after many other options tried, including a new controller board, I pulled the frig out far enough to see the top rear from inside the MH. The mfgr. had put a plastic tie around several wires including the thermistor and had pulled it so tight that the t. wire was pressed hard against the heating tube. Over time it had finally melted enough to cause some issue with connectivity. Spliced around the bad spot and the refrig. is working ok.
