Dometic Frig Problem

My Dometic frig, model RM2852, has developed a problem while operating in the gas mode.
The refrigerator flame will go out, and the check light will come on, as it should to indicate a problem. This shut down is not on a regular basis time wise. Sometimes it will shut down after operating only a couple of hours, and other times it will operate for 18 to 20 hours. It just developed this problem in the last week of a three week trip we were recently on. The refrigerator works great on AC power, and also keeps things cold in the propane mode, when it is working.
Is there any common problems I should look for. Other than to make sure there is plenty of propane in the tank, and that the other systems, (propane water heater, and furnace) are working, I have done no checking on the frig problem. Any suggestions as to where the problem might lie would be appreciated. The unit is six years old, and has never acted up before, and has been run almost totally on propane.
Would also like to add, that when restarting the refrigerator after it shuts down, it takes many pushes of the start button before the flame will stay lit. I can hear the flame ignite, but it will only stay on for about 40 seconds or so before it goes out. Sometimes takes more than a dozen tries before it will stay lit.

Thanks for any info,

Clean the flue and the burner, carefully removing all rust and flakes. That should solve the problem.

Be sure to clean any carbon on the electrode as well. After cleaning the assembly, try it out and let us know how it is doing.
