Dometic Heatpump slow heat?
My 16 year old Dometic heatpump is starting to act up (sorry I don't have the model number here). It is a 15,000 btu model, that originally had the analog thermostat, upgraded to a Honeywell thermostat in 2016. This winter it has started being slow to heat, currently taking over 5 minutes before warm air is felt at the vents from the time the fan comes on with outdoor temperatures in the 40's.
Any thoughts one what to check first is most welcome, the trouble shooting chart is not very helpful on this one, as it seems to cool fine in air conditioner mode. (I am in Louisiana so it may be 75 degrees one day and 30 the next)
thanks

Possibilities:
The reversing valve may be sticking. dirty coils, air leak in ductwork, low refrigerant, are a few to start with.

Thanks for the thoughts, though I think a number of them can be likely ruled out:
Dometics reversing valve defaults to the heat position, so I doubt that one would caused delayed heating.
Ducting air leak should effect both heating and cooling, not just delay on heating.
Low refrigerant might effect heat pump operation before it effects air conditioner due to the lower temperatures, and lower head pressure at start up. Thought testing this one is harder in a sealed system

Only if it is sticking before seating properly.

Thanks, I have not had a chance to get to it yet, maybe this week if the weather cooperates (not too hot, not too cold, we have a low of 27F in the forecast one night this week, and a high in the upper 60's most of the rest of the time.
