Dometic Penguin AC Model #

Hi everyone,

I need some help. I am trying to find some information on my AC. Here is the only label that I can find. I am trying to find my manual, model number and year this was manufactured. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Leon

The number under the MFG# is your model number. I doubt you will find the year manufactured but perhaps the SKU# would tell Dometic that. It is a 13,500 BTU unit.

I have attached several PDFs that may help.

Thanks Rex,
I bought this unit today as a Used/new unit. It has never been installed but did not have any paperwork but ran great and was cold. I need to buy a lower unit and trying to decide if the controls are separate or not. Also can you tell by this label if it has a heat pump with it or not. Thanks and I will call Dometic or PPL tomorrow to try and get the correct parts. I am replacing an original Coleman TSR non ducted from 1994 with this one.

Why are you looking for info? Are you having problems, want to replace?

My AC fan blower is not working correctly. I have to open up the inside cover and spin the squirrel cage by hand to get the fan going. This past summer the ac was not blowing very cold so I figured that I should just replace it since it is original. I think the old unit only needs a new motor but since it is so old and not so cold I will just replace it.

I bought this upper unit today and now I need to figure out what else I need to to get to install it. I hope only a lower unit, not sure if I can put a wall thermostat on this or not. I have 2 non ducted AC's.

Dometics are usually controlled by a 4 or 5 button Comfort Control Center (CCC) Which is their prioritary thermostat. It displays and controls 2 Zones. 1 being the front AC and furnace, 2 being the rear AC and possibly a rear furnace or a strip heater.

If you have this system, you need to know if you have the older 4 button system or the newer 5 button.

If you have a 5 button, then this new one will need a 5 button control board. If you have the older 4 button then the new one will need a 4 button control board. Or, upgrade the tstat to a 5 button and both control boards.

I won't go any further until we know what we're dealing with.

I would think that I have none of the above. I have a 1994 Bounder 34J and currently have 2 Coleman 7333 A 8876 non ducted mechanically controlled AC's with 50 amp service. I do not know if my furnaces have wiring run to them. So this new Dometic Penguin unit will only need the mechanical ceiling pack. Am I correct there? My current units have no heating options on them. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, no experience with replacing a Dometic with a Coleman setup.

No problem, I just took off the lower cover and I only have a power supply line and the wire connector from the upper unit up there. There is also the wires from the solar panel. Should be a simple replacement.

Thanks again,
Leon
