Dometic Refrigerator RM1350

I have the above Refrigerator and it recently started to act up. The freezer works and it gets COLD but not to the minus side - the food storage area - were the fins are located does NOT. The fins do get a tad bit cold but not enough to cool down. When I checked the back of the fridge - removing the two vents outside - the black holding tank is mighty HOT to the touch and so are the pipes leading up to the top. There are 2 fans located about the height of the Freezer side but I have NEVER seen those two work. Have done the part of slightly tapping all lines including the tank - NOTHING WORKS. When ever the Fridge would run - was able to hear a motor running - what appeared to be a motor.
Have checked the fuzzes and all appear to be OK.
HELP

I think you need to check to make sure the door gasket of your refrigerator is sealing properly. Normally the refrigerator fins do not feel all that cold when the fridge is in proper operation. The fans only kick on based on the outdoor ambient temperature, not the actual refrigerator operating. It is normal for that black accumulator tank to get hot.

The cooling coil for the freezer has a larger expansion tube. The refrigerator coil almost always stops up first. if it is stopped up you will not feel any cooling from the fins.

You have two choices. Replace the frig. Replace the cooling coil.

Thanks a BUNCH for the quick reply - not what I wanted to see - BUT - IT IS WHAT IT IS. Again - THANKS!!!! Now how difficult is it to replace the cooling coil and do you happen to know the cost of the coil versus a new fridge?
