Dometic/Sealand 511h toilet HELP

Had a leaky seal and toilet wouldn't hold water. Watched some UTube videos, ordered the seal and replace it. It leaked.

Ordered the new style seal and replaced it, it leaked, removed and used 5200, let it cure and it leaked.

cleaned up the mess and replaced with new seal. tightened the band as tight as i could with a 3/8 ratchet. It still leaks....

The base doesn't look to be damaged and it is leaking from the rear.

Help

You might try replacing the flushball as well. I have a similar problem with a 500 series toilet that won't hold water in the bowl. I'm going to put in a new seal and a new flushball tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

the seal holds water, it leaks out the back onto the floor when you flush. I don't think the bowl is cracked. it looks good. the base looks good also.

That leak from be from the Vacuum Breaker on backside/upper area of toilet

Water comes in thru inlet valve and goes up to Vacuum Breaker then into toilet when flushing
After flushing inlet valve closes and the water inside the vacuum breaker leaks down into toilet ---just enough water to cover bowl seal and provide that 'vapor' barrier

Vacuum Breaker has a small hole in the top of it and a flapper inside that closes off the hole when water flows in under pressure.
After flushing the flapper drops opening the hole and preventing any siphoning possibilities

Your Vacuum breaker is NOT closing and water leaks out the top hole

Need to replace it

If the water is leaking past the ball, see if you have a plastic shaft from the spring valve. Goggle 385318162 it has a metal shaft & solved the problem of the plastic square being rounded off.

doesn't look like that is it, but fordered one and will replace. maybe i can't see where it is leaking down to the plastic base.
