Dometic toilet "loosing power"

We have an electric masterflush 8000 series with a handle flush and a new problem seems to be starting. In order to flush the toilet you push down on the silver handle and all is good. Problem is that now you have to push the handle all the way down and it slowly starts to flush, right now it does flush.

It almost seems like its low on a battery and with each flush getting the last bit of power. I know it doesn't use a battery per se but just a way to describe it.

Anyone know what I am talking about and have an idea of what might be happening? Would like to fix an issue before it.................wait for it................craps out.

Heh. Craps out. Heh.

Not really all that familiar with electric toilets but a couple things come to mind...have you been staying at a place where the water has high mineral content? And two, electrical devices will behave badly if the power source is low. So if the batteries that supply the toilet are low, it may act strange.

The way that can happen is a bad battery set of course, but when plugged into shore power that's not likely so you'd want to look at connections near the toilet. Especially the ground wires. Which means you sort of need a schematic of the wiring to the toilet.

One way to deal with this would be to gather all the info you can on the toilet and search for a Mobile RV tech nearby. Check them on RVServiceReviews.com and the google or yahoo reviews.
