FYI , I took my motor apart and was able to repair it. It is quite interesting. It has a set of three planetary gears that allow the small motor to do a big job. It also has a large electric brake in the end that prevents the motor from turning when no electricity is applied.
On mine, the drive shaft pulled out of the planetary gear so that the motor turned but wouldn't turn the roller ( faulty design ).
If your motor turns and will work ok except for getting stuck on that one spot, I think in might be something other than the motor.
