Question Dometric Freezer Door Sticking?

Just started recently, the freezer door is sticking closed. The latch is releasing properly and there is nothing on the sealing surface to make it stick. Maybe it's creating a vacuum inside somehow thats making it hard to open? Any suggestions?

Mine will do that randomly. I attribute it to a good seal. In theory, if a slug of warm air gets in the freezer (door left open too long), as it cools it will contract and develop a slightly lower air pressure inside the unit compared to that of the outside air. This'll put positive pressure on the door keeping it closed. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Same here on our Dometic. I notice that it is the hardest to open immediately after it is closed.

Ours opens fine if you open it right away, but if it sits overnight it's real hard to open.
It's been turned on for several months so I have shut it down for overnight and I'll see if a warm up cool down cycle has any effect.

door sticking

i think they have door heaters to keep ice from forming. that would cause door to stick.

Mine is doing it too. WD-40 doesn't help either....
