Dsi fault light is lit

I’ve not seen this light lit before. We are plugged into 50amp at the RV park. No hot water. Hubby turned on the 12v and the 120v but still no hot water. Does the propane need to be turned on? I honestly don’t remember using propane to get hot water while we are plugged into the 50amp. Any help and all suggestions are much appreciated. Thanking you all in advance[ATTACH]328670

1st off the labeling is terrible

Water Heater 12V is actually the GAS (propane)
DSI Fault indicates the the GAS hasn't lit/proved it lit.......NO Propane valved in??

To reset turn GAS off/wait 30 seconds then back on
**After you have valved LP in and established flow by using stove top burners OR keep resetting the GAS switch ----water heater will make 3x attempt to light/prove flame lit before triggering the DSI Fault

The 2 switches are in opposite positions
12V is Down (Off) and the 120V is UP (On)???

Brand/Model of Water Heater???

We were plugged into a 50amp at the campground so I shouldn’t need to use the 12v. At other campgrounds when we plug into the 50amp; use the 120v switch we get hot water. I even went and got the HR manual to make sure. Attachment 1

I’m going to have to go back and see what type/name of the hot water pump

I have the same control panel. Have someone go outside and stand next to the water heater compartment. Then you depress the top of the "Water" switch.

They should hear a sparking noise as the igniter tries to light the Propane.

If it lights they will hear it burning, if it doesn't light the "DSI Fault" light will come on.

It may take a couple tries if the propane gas line was empty.

Do you have propane in your tank?

Is the Gas line turned on?

Do your stove top gas burners work?

You can use propane and 110 volt at the same time...I've done it.

Your HR Manual is the Holiday Rambler owners manual NOT the water heater manual.

From the picture it appears that you have an Atwood Brand water heater

2005 vintage uses common DC to control bothe the Electric & Gas functions

DSI Fault Light:
1) Typically triggered by GAS not lighting off/proving it lit
2) Can be triggered if the ECO (Energy Cut Off ----High Temp T-stat) Opens ---either when on Electric or Gas
*opens at 180*F should the T-stat fail to open at 140*F and shuts down all heating
**ECO auto resets when temp drops below 150*F
***DSI Fault light has to be reset by turning Switch OFF...wait 30 Sec---turn back on

*****No heating on Electric and/or Gas.....DSI ON
Turn both switches OFF
Check the T-stat...must make tight contact with tank wall, must open when temp reaches 140*F
Sounds like you might need new set of t-stat/ECO (come as a pair)

Everybody now I’m home from the campground have plugged into my 50amp filled up my fresh water tank; got air out lines; turned on water pump and turned on 120v and I’ve got hot water. Propane tank is turned off. Go figure������
