Dual DuoTherm Roof Top AC rear not working

I bought this unit 2 months ago know the rear air wasnít working. Here what I have found out so far. I do have a 4 button thermostat on the wall it works the front unit perfect but it doesnít recognize zone 2 for the rear unit. I did verify I have 120 volts to the rear unit I checked the communications data cable is plugged in secure. I will probably need to upgrade to the 5 button and change the control .

Here my question can I jump wires to verify the unit it self is good before I dump money out for the upgrade or do I need to take a chance it is good. Also I do have a good ac unit that came out of a older 5th wheel with a single thermostat can I use that one of my unit is bad. I know the older one donít have The heat pump for heat and it has a older thermostat I would need to use

Any help would be appreciated

Have you tried doing the factory-recommended thermostat reset?
