Duo Therm Heat Pump Compressor short cycle

I have a 2007 Mandalay with duo therm heat pumps. When it is hot out (over 85), the compressor kicks out after some variable length of time, while the fan continues to run. The time can be as short as 15 seconds or more than 15 minutes. The thermostat continues to call for cool. Some period of time later the cycle will repeat, with the thermostat calling for a/c the whole time.

Check the divider between chilled air and return air plenums. if chilled air is being drawn in by the return air plenum it will cause icing up of the condenser coil, short-cycling. Use metal duct tape to completely seal and gaps, cracks, opening between plenums.
If that is not the case, check the freeze-over sensor on the condenser for proper location and condition.
