Electrical issues: no house battery power, only on shore or generator

Hi - my 12 volt system will only work on shore power or generator.

Any quick fixes as to why that’s the case?

Also - my fans in the cab above the drivers side and passenger side have now power. It’s powered by the rocker switches on the dash. I think I shorted the system during my renovation. Anyone have an idea where the fuse is? It’s not under the

I have a 2003 Four Winds Hurricane.

Battery Disconnect Switch OFF

Battery POS Cable In-line fuse (or DC CB) blown

Converter supplies DC System when using AC Power
Battery supplies DC System when No AC Power is available

So need to test for battery power at DC Dist Fuse Panel W/O converter ON

Thanks - will break out the multimeter and check the line running from the battery bank to the 12 volt fuse panel. Is there typically an in-line fuse in that connection?

Question - the battery switch for the coach used to stay on but now I need to tape it down for the light to stay on. Any idea why that’s the case?

YES. In-line fuse or DC Circuit Breaker

Replace the bad switch as that is probably your lack of DC issue

If you taped the switch on, it would have burnt out the solenoid that the switch controls.

They are only designed for a momentary electric signal from the switch.

You probably need a new latching solenoid.

I only started taping the switch when it wouldn’t hold the light on. Guess I knew the solenoid before then somehow.

How do I determine what type of solenoid I need and where is it located?

Also - the solenoid on the engine might be shot too. For me to get the light to stay on someone needs to hold the switch down, I start the rv then hold the ignition key in for 30 seconds. Then shut the rv down. At that point the chassis electrical power light will stay on.
