Fantastic Fan Power Switch

I'm looking for some help on my 2000 40ft CC Intrige power switch for the Fantastic Vent. I ordered a new motor for it, and it does the same thing as the old motor. The gears were somewhat stripped on the old one. The issue with the new motor ( and the old one ) is that it won't shut off. The power switch is a variable speed wall switch, with a auto, manual and off. The only way I can shut it off is to put it on auto and hit the stop button, or unplug it. If the power switch is bad, does anyone know where I can get a replacement. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks, Steve a Newbie.

You could give Kevin Waite a call, Former Country Coach Service Tech.
I just got some parts from him.

Shutting off the motor is a current related issue. As the motor either goes up or down, when it hits a limit, the current goes up. At that point, the motor will shut off.

My suggestion is to call Fantastic Vent and talk to them. Describe the problem and they will assist you. They are an excellent company and will assist.

I don't see this as a motor problem. It is in the controller board

on my unit, the power switch has two parts: an on/off and round button manual/auto/off with speed on the dial. i don't touch the round button, just press the on/off button. isn't yours like that?

As dons2346 says, you probably have a bad control board. I had a problem with my fan on a previous coach that I thought was related to a faulty switch to the lift motor. When I called Fantastic Vent they told me there is no switch, the lift motor turned off/on by the control board.

There is a circuit board inside the fan housing with an electrical load sensor that shuts off the lift motor when it encounters resistance such as the lid hitting the vent cover, hinge reaching its limit of motion or is closed and the lid touches the seal.
