Fireplace Blowing Cold Air - What Are My Options?
I have a 36" Innoflame fireplace in my 2021 Grand Design 397TH. The model number of the fireplace is RV36D80F-C1.
The fireplace started blowing cold air, does anyone know if there is an internal fuse that may have blown to cause this? Or, is there anything I can check before I end up buying an other one?
thanks
Dan

Pull the fireplace out, only takes a minute and clean the dust out around inlet and outlets. Mine was very dusty and would instantly cause overheat protection to shut down heat but fan would still blow cool air.

Hi,
While you have the unit out, check the inline fuse that should be near the overheat switch above the heating element. Good Luck!

The heating element is nothing more than a toaster element. Unplug it for safety's sake. Take the cover off the heating element and check for a broken wire connection. Poking around with some searches, I see this is a common problem with your fireplace. I found this on another forum:

I just pulled out the same model in my rig as it stopped producing heat. The white wire going to the heating element was burnt and brittle I imagine just like you found in your unit... in fact, the spade on the heater element itself had broken.

If you can't figure out a way to reattach the wire, you may have to look at a new fireplace: https://recpro.com/search.php?search...ection=product

When ours started acting up, I shopped for a similar sized unit, not of the same manufactuere and found one on Amazon. I pulled the old one out and installed the new one- easy and took about 20 minutes

I found the issue, same problem you quoted. The white wire going to the heating element was fried and the transformer was burnt, don't feel safe just re-attaching the wire, so looks like it's time for a new unit.
thanks
Dan
