Fresh Water Issue on Pump

Hey Guys,

we're experiencing a new issue with our 2005 Alfa fresh water system when not connected to city water. This behavior is new, so something has broken/changed. We have the stupid monitor mini battery/tank levels in thirds that everyone hates.

The last two trips we have been on tanks and appear to have lost fresh water prime below 1/3 tank of fresh water. I do not believe we are out of water in the tank, as we had above 1/3rd last night and only took some short showers (again 85 gallon tank....5 gallons for showers?). and now have lost prime and can't get it back.

Last trip when this occurred, we added approximately 20 gallons by hand and showed over 2/3rds (85 gallon fresh..) and ended our trip with no issues the next but we had guests....weren't sure what they were doing. I chalked it up to a fluke.

Currently the pump is running, not able to grab prime, and the key i think is WE ARE DRIPPING WATER OUT OUR "CITY" WATER Hose bib. I also am able to hear a slight occasional sucking/burping from the fresh water hose bib - leading to believe we are getting air in the line, and dripping valuable water out.
I am not showing a separate check valve in our factory supplied manual at the built in regulator.... I've checked our Fresh/Pump bypass valve (how we usually fill the tank on city water) and its relatively new(replaced 2016) and appears tight. When I run the bypass, I can hear the pump just pumping water in circles like it usually does, though with lots of air. ...what am I missing?

City Water Inlet Assembly has an Internla Check Valve that is suppose to CLOSE when using Pump so RV pump doesn't flow water into city water/out the inlet

Check valve dripping would cause pump to short cycle (pressure drops/pump runs/pressure builds up/pump stops---pump pressure switch start/stop set points)

BUT dripping city water inlet would NOT cause pump to loose prime

Air being sucked into system can only come from pump suction side
Loose suction line connections, cracked pump strainer, cracked pump casing OR pump suction line short (doesn;t go to bottom of fresh water tank)
