Fresh Water Tank Leaks When Filling

Hello everyone it’s been a while since I’ve been here in fact I forgot my password so I started all over again.
I have a 2005 HR Ambassador and I’m trying to find out how to get to the fresh water tank.
Where my family and I reside we don’t winterize because we’re on the go must of the time but I would just like to inspect for cracks or anything. Can the tank be seen from going under the RV?
Thanks

I don't know for sure about your particular model, but in the S-Series of Monaco coaches (Dynasty, Executive, Signature) the fresh tank sits in a pass thru compartment and rests on the floor of that compartment. Both ends of the tank can be accessed thru either a bay door on the passenger side or a utility access door behind a bay door on the driver side. But the bottom, top and sides of the tank really isn't where it can be seen.

On the plus side, other than the fill and suction fittings, there really shouldn't be anything that would make a fresh tank leak a significant concern.

If it leaks whenever water is in it, then yes, you could have a fracture. If it leaks only WHILE you are filing it, and if you can get to where you can inspect it, I would look hard at the fill line and its fittings.

Thanks K7JV
When we get back home I have a creeper so I can get under there. Going to chock wheels; put jacks down; go under with a flashlight; have my wife turn the water on the water and start investigating.

According to the 2005 Ambassador Owners Manual
Fresh water tank is located in roadside compartment

Could be directly behind the Water service panel or in compartment next to service bay
Tank drain/water pump are going to be close to tank

**crawling underneath the MH may show where water dripping but not the actual tank

Thank you Old Biscuit glad you’re still on the forum. I crawled partway under on the curbside where it’s dripping from and I believe I see the problem. On the roadside it’s dry as the Sahara desert that’s a good thing. So my problem is curbside whenever I use city fill or tank fill.
