Fridge just quit

We turned the fridge on to cool it down and then it just quit.

It was working on electric first but then just quit. It won’t start with electric or propane.

Fuses are good. Any ideas of what it could be?

Dometic Fridge.

Thanks in advance

I should add two weeks ago our house batteries fried and we replaced the batteries perhaps the fridge problem is related but if that is the case why would it initially work?

You should start with the 12 volt power. Remember the board is powered by 12 volts. Take a voltmeter and check the incoming 12 volts.

I doubt the batteries was the problem or it would not have started. If you check and have 11 volts or more, next I would wiggle all the plugs on the board, they are exposed to the moisture and sometime lose contact.

First question, does the refrigerator control panel have lights, does the light come on inside and does the interior fan work?

If “yes” to any of those, you have 12v to the fridge.

MODEL???

Was the Recall Modification Done?

Is Fridge LEVEL?

As suggested>
12VDC required for both electric/gas operations
Do you have Lights on upper display panel...interior light comes on?

Answer questions ask and you will get better responses

Do you have the ARP mod? Is there a red light flashing (maybe just illuminated) inside the outside Fridge access compartment? Take the door off and look for a small 1.5 inch square box with a couple of wires and see if it has a red light flashing. If you find such, get a strong magnet, and a piece of duct tape. Now slowly rub the magnet against the small box till you hear a click and the red light goes out. When you hear the click, mark the place with a dot of duck tape so you can find it again. Replace that duct tape with a white sharpie dot when able. Now, turn the fridge back on.

If you have the recall, you likely have the ARP mod. Go look inside the outside fridge access door.

There is no small square inch box. Model is RM 2852. Now the lights are on but check light is illuminated. Fridge was working with no check light now it’s on

I was called out on a 5th wheel last week. The panel was lit. It would not cool. There was a lo on the panel. It means low power. I plugged the power cord in and the refrigerator began working. The refrigerator board will NOT work on low power.

Certainly check that the 12 VDC connections in the back (outside access area) are clean and tight.
