Fridge off showing 52 on ARP device
My fridge runs for awhile then ARP shuts it off and show the number 52. I disconnected the power to reset it but it keeps doing it. What are my options

Now the question is WHY overheating?
Is Fridge Level?
Does it happen on AC, on GAS or both?

Most likely you either are way off level, usually front to rear, or your fridge is defective.

Why would my boiler be overheating? Is it because I’m using LP vs electric? Why would it make a difference?

Even with fridge defender does it make a difference using LP vs electric, normally I use mine on LP, and I leave it on when traveling seems to work ok

Shouldn't, I have Fridge Defend and I use gas and electric both, have not had any overheat issues.

The design of the equipment is intended to work almost the same for both gas and electric. However, there are different components working on one or the other. A malfunction of one of the differences can cause issues for one mode or the other.
When driving level is not as important. The movement keeps the refrigerant flowing.
When stationary being level is vital. Refrigerant can pool in the system and stop cooling. Permanent damage can accumulate if the unit is run out of level for long periods. This applies to both gas and electric. It does not have to be perfect. See manual for how level it must be.
You will get better advice if you post make and model of refrigerator.

I skimmed the owner's manual. Nothing indicates the system is intended to operate differently between gas and electric, but the question remains.
Does it overheat on both gas and electric?
Does it overheat when parked and when driving?
What are the ambient conditions when it overheats?
Does the refer display have blinking number or letter fault code.
Does it behave differently with different mode settings? Manual gas, manual elec, auto gas, auto elec?
Possible:
Frige is defective
Electric element is not working corretly
Gas burner is not working correctly
Obstruction in cooling system
ARP is defective or miss set.
Did you ever run it for a while off level?
Did you ever run it in freezing weather?

Questions:
Does fridge defend indicate Overheating on GAS only
OR does it also show overheating when using Electric?
*Both heat sources do same thing...provide heat to boil the ammonia into a vapor
Overheating can be due to:
Low Propane System Pressure
Dirty burner/orifice
Faulty Electric Heater Element
Cooling UNIT blockage OR a LEAK
**if only happens when on GAS (OK on Electric)
then issue is with the LP pressure, burner etc
