While I consider things to do about replacing my
1981 Winnebago frig,I find that it seems most replacement frig's are only 2 way vs the three way that I have now.Is that because over time manufactures of MH/Campers found the convertors would support the frig's?.(A/c to D/c)Would a convertor as old as mine be big enough to do this?.The land line plug is a 30 amp.I'm the newbie to RV's so your help is needed for this.

Thank You,

Gary

Hi Gary,
From one Gary to another the new refers are 110V or propane powered. The 12V power choice was removed. A small amount of 12V is needed to power the curcuit board(s) and maybe provide the spark to light the propane.

Yes,I figured that. Now it is a matter of deciding each one I want and what I can fit into the old cut-out.(or how much space I have to fit a larger one.)What I have now is a Norcold 774.Norcold conversion/replacement chart said the replacement is a 400N.I haven't seen that many of the model around used/reconditioned.So,I'll just stick to as close as the 400N is for a cut out and then see what I can get for the replacement.

Thanks for getting back to me,

Gary
