Furnace 98 Allegro Bus

Have a 98 bus in good shape DP with30k When I go to thermostat and turn furnace on with blows the 20-amp fuse on panel near floor and frig. I went outside removed side cover on propane furnace, Motor for fan would not spin freely by hand. Looked into blower intake saw a Mud dauber nest. After some time, I remove two nest size of golf balls. when i hand spin motor fins it turns blower fan now. However, I hear a ticking in the fan blower housing. I'm still blowing the 20-amp fuse. Any suggestions? I'm no mechanic but can take things apart and put back to together.

Hi Mlanders,
I'm thinking ... if the motor had been held stopped by the mud nests, it may now have to be replaced. It does sound like there is still a problem, especially if it's blowing fuses.
Good luck and let us know what you find as the resolution.

Disconnect the motor and replace the fuse. If it doesn’t blow, Bob’s your uncle!
