Furnace blower motor keeps running.

My 1999 Coachman is plugged intoy 110 house outlet just to keep the battery charged and the interior lights working. Well, this mornind I noticed that the furnace blower was on and venting cool air outside. I am new to this camper and believe that I have everything that I don't want running turned off, like the refrigerator. How can I stop the blower motor from running unnesscarily? And correct mebif I am wrong but the furnace switch, when switched to the LEFT, turns it off, right?

on the thermostat box there should be a switch on top that controls temp and on the bottom of the box there is a little switch that should be "off and on". my off is to the left.

If you have an attwood furnace, if it is ON and you run out of propane, it will run continuously. I have a feeling you left it on and are now out of propane.... Unless you had the tank valve off.

As stated above with no propane(either off or empty) and the furnace on the fan will run continuously. On mine the switch on the bottom goes to the left to turn the furnace off but it is VERY hard to switch. So turn to the on position then off again so you hear/feel the click and know for sure that it is actually off.

If it won't budge, hit it harder or get a bigger hammer.

Bob, I couldn't wait to go outside and try your suggestion and see if I could put an end t this very annoying mystery as to why my furnace won't shut off!. I do have an Atwood furnace and the switch was not off. It was, as you have stated, very hard to turn off. So I forcibly turned it to the left and sure enough it turned off!!
Many thanks!
The more I turn to this forum for help, the more I like it! Great bunch of people here! I am totally new to the world of camping so even the most basic questions might seem silly to those with a lot of experience. Really glad those folks have taken the time to respond to my inquiry.

We are having a problem shutting down the blower. Any suggestions? We have a 2005 fifth wheel with a suburban furnace, which has worked perfectly all the time. I accidentally left the Duo Therm control "on" while we traveled home and now the blower won't shut off. Tried running thermostat down etc. Gas is okay as stove lights.

We had a similar problem with our furnace a couple of years ago, turned out to be a faulty circuit board. Replaced it and furnace now works as it should. You may want to have the circuit board checked out.

Good luck and let us know the fix...

Well, I discovered this tiny little inconspicuous thing on the front of the thermostat, which appeared to be popped out. I pushed it in and it disappeared. Thinking I had broken the thing, I quickly exited the unit and casually mentioned it to my husband the next day. Went back to it with a sharp needle and was able to get it back in view and heard a click. Voila! The furnace cycled normally. That must be a reset button! We had also taken the fuse out of the circuit breaker, so ?? who knows.
Thanks for the info though.
