Here's a link to an Atwood manual. Page 6 item #4 shows the electrode. If it's not clean it will try to light three times and quit as yours did. See if you can steel wool it a little. It may be all you need to do.

So it blows air. At the outside exhaust, do you hear a thunk, tick tick ticking, or smell LP?

How cold is it there? I had a similar problem and my gauge or regulator was freezing. I put a droplight beside it and it has worked fine.

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
Have you used the furnace recently, could be air in the system. I have had to go thru 3 tries, if there is air in the system.

So you DO smell LP when it's trying to light.
Either you have a bad flame sensor, bad board, bad connection, or it's all dirty and needs to be cleaned.

heater won't ignite

If you haven't already done so, check the gas detector to see if it is on. Furnace will not ignite if it is turned off.

That is not always true. Many MHs, and one horse trailer I've seen, do have a solenoid that is open when the LP detector is working. So when the LP detector is off/faulting/alarming it shuts off the LP as to prevent a fire. But not all units have that.
The fact that the furnace will burn means there is LP, but that the issue is either a lack of LP pressure or a furnace issue.

I had a situation where the rear furnace had not been used for a long time. It would light/start and go out. I kept at it for some several times over the course of a few days and it finally took off, Stale after no use , obviously. Don'y know if this applies but GOOD LUCK in any case and Safe Travels!!!

GlenB my front heater would not light today. Fan come on but not light. I went to power breakers and shut down power. I was plugged into 30 amp line I shut it down and the inverter also!! Waited a couple min and switched power back on. I then switched both zones on to gas heat. The unit came up after that I guess it rebooted!!! Hope it helps!!!
