Furnace doesn't ignite
I spent a week troubleshooting my Atwood Furnace in my 2001 Four Winds Chateau Class C RV. I finally narrowed it down to a bad TDR and Sail Switch. I replaced both and it worked great until today. When I initially turned it on, it ran perfectly until it reached the set temperature and cut off. About 10 minutes later the blower cycled back on, but when it was time for the igniter to kick in (about 10 secs) and light the propane, the blower would just cut off. About 10 secs later the blower would turn on again, then cut off again 10 secs later. It just keeps repeating this cycle over and over. Any suggestions? Thanks

Update: I opened the outside panel and wiggled a couple of connections and the blower stayed on like it should, but when it should have ignited, I heard a click but there was no ignition. I smelled propane each time it would click to ignite, but it only blew cold air. I'm guessing the igniter may be bad or something on the board. I'm leaving on a trip this Friday so it sure would be nice to figure this thing out.

If you smell propane then the propane valve has successfully opened and either the igniter is bad or the control board isn't sending the necessary voltage to ignite.

Thanks. I'll try to get a board in before we leave and try that. If that isn't the problem then I'll have to wait until we get back to order an igniter. We have a small space heater. It shouldn't get below 30° where we're going so hopefully that will work for a quick fix until we can get back. Thanks again.

Update: Tried it again today and it fired right up and ran until it reached the set temperature. On the 2nd try, it went back to shutting the motor off as soon as it tried to ignite. I can hear the igniter try to fire about 5 clicks before it goes dead. Anyone think the ignitor on the board fails after it warms up? With it working on the 1st try, I would think the ignitor rods are probably ok.

That sounds like a circuit board issue........not ignitor issue
Dinosaur Electronics Fan 50 plus is a better quality board then OEM
Plus you can get rid of the TDR as it is incorporated on the circuit board

Thanks Old Biscuit. If I am understanding the instructions correctly, I still use my old TDR if I am upgrading an older furnace that has a standard ignitor board and a time-delay
relay. It states to connect the female end of the red pwr wire to the TDR terminal that used to feed the motor.
If I am correct my old TDR will be connected as followed:
1. Bottom term: 12V input from battery
2. Right term: Ground
3. Left Term: Thermostat
4. Top Term: PWR Term on Board
The Blower Term on Board to motor PWR wire.
I'm thinking I hooked up a board like this with terminals, that I ordered last week worked, but then my old board without terminals started working again, so I sent the new board back.
Am I anywhere close in my thoughts? Thanks again.

Perfect. I'm going out of town and will be back in 5 days. My board should be in when I return. I'll update this problem as soon as I return. Thanks again Old Biscuit.

Update: Got the board in and installed it like the Dino directions stated. It would not start the motor. So, I ignored the Blower & Power terminals and hooked it up just like my old board was connected. I just plugged the 3 pin connector back in to the board and everything started right up and worked like a charm. Thank you all for your help. I couldn't have done it without you.
