We are in the Southwest and experienced our gas generator overheating and shutting down. It was 100 degrees out but the unit had not been running more than a half hour. Is this normal? Thank you!

Likely it is mounted so that the air intake is sucking in the hot air trapped under the RV, you might need to add an inlet vent or snorkel. Apparently some RV makers have started doing this see this solution being used on some Forest River RV's https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ds-114044.html
