Generator Fuel Burn
Anyone know what the approximate fuel burn per hour would be for my '90 Onan 7500w diesel (3 cyl) generator?

My 93 would do about 1/2 gallon per hour.

It all depends on the load you're putting on it. I'd say the range is probably between 1/2 and 3/4 or 1 if it's at full capacity.

Generator size and load make a big difference, as does the fuel type.
No load .1 GPH
Half load .48 GPH
Full load 1.2 GPH
This is for our constant speed 12.5KW Onan
We had a propane 6.3KW PowerTech unit in our 2000 DSDP. It would use well over a gallon per hour running two 13.5 heat pumps.

Generator Fuel Burn
I have an Onan 7500 in my '02 DS. In the past four years I've put about 600 hours on it. In keeping my fuel records I use 0.6 gph for all generator consumption, and all the numbers seem to work out ok.

I burn about 1/2 gal/hr running at about 1/2 load. Mine is a 8000w.
