Generator quits while driving

Happens under load or not. Approx. 450 hrs. on it. I can restart it after about 10 to 20 minutes and it runs fine until it quits again. Reading through other posts and looking at You Tube yields 5 or 6 different possible issues. One that repeats twice is replacing the fuel pump- where both posters claim it fixed the problem. I'd like to do that but don't know how yet until I dig deeper. What do you think?

Thanks!

Is your fuel tank more than 1/4 full?

Just confirming, this only happens when driving? If so, is there anything blocking or inhibiting airflow causing it to shutdown because of overheating?

Just because there's nothing blocking the airflow while driving doesn't mean it's not overheating. There's all kinds of reverse flow/staled flow possibilities.

My muffler is ahead of the genny. When driving, it heats the cooling air to the genny very well.

Does it set a code?

The fact that it re-starts after a cooldown period is telling.

No codes. Another question: Rig is stored off site- can't verify exact replacements for fuel pump and filter although these are primary ones listed most commonly:

https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Repl...MFESXG4HPB3D7W

https://www.amazon.com/Cummins-Onan-...04RCT19I&psc=1

In places there's mention of 2 filter locations...one at the carb and one at the pump. Don't think that's mine but again I can't verify.

Thanks.
