Generator will not start with dash switch

I have a 2008 american tradition 42c and the generator will not start with the dash switch, but will start with the switch on the generator. The switch is working it bumps the generator and will turn off the generator. Anyone have any idea what to check first.

I am going to say it is , the rocker switch is not sending the signal voltage out(bad/faulty rocker switch) or there is a relay after the rocker switch, before the genset that is not working. A call to American Coach to see if they will send you a wiring diagram of the genset start circuit. That would be the easiest way to troubleshoot this. I am sure that they can email you a diagram. or maybe someone on here has one?

Back by the gen look for broken wire or corroaded wire.
I know from experience.
