GFI issues Revolution 40C

The GFI in the bathroom which controls all the plugins on the passenger side of my RV, all 7 of them, tripped and will not reset. Checking the AC panel showed no issues so I replaced the GFI but no luck. A meter on the incoming line and outgoing load wires showed no power. I metered the AC panel and checked for loose connections but no luck. So far I have found 4 hidden junction boxes, only one was related to the dead circuit but all was good. I have spend days opening up walls and cable runs only to find one cable with no power under the RV, which looks like it runs to the GFI.
Does anyone know of any hidden boxes or another GFI hidden in the revolution 40C. I am not able to determine which breaker controls that circuit. I am hoping its one of the two 20 Amp breakers but I may be wrong as plugins on those two breakers works. Would Fleetwood have the 15 Amp fridge circuit as part of the GFI to the outlets on the same side of the RV??
Any suggestions would be great, meanwhile I will keep taking apart walls....

The Cap'n Obvious stuff first: reset circuit breakers (turn fully off, back on). Failure only on shore power or genset, or both? Is this circuit powered by the inverter? If so, check the inverter for small, push button/pop out circuit breakers on 120VAC input and output. They may be on the side of back of the inverter (usually where you can't see them).

*Some* coaches with large inverters (3000w) may have a smaller circuit breaker box that distributes inverter output to multiple branch circuits. Those breakers will need to be reset, if your Revolution is wired that way.

Inverters usually have a Pass-Through feature that when on shore power or generator, the inverter directly connects the 120VAC input to the 120VAC output terminals and reverts to battery charging. If the pass through relay has failed you will get 120VAC while the inverter runs from the house batteries but not on shore power or genny.

Another possibility is that one Line on your transfer switch is not conducting. Are there other loads in your coach that get power from the same Line of the 50 amp service, and if so, do they work?

And welcome to iRV2! Sorry it was a problem that brought you here, but plan on staying with us.

Yup, check the inverter breakers.

If popped out no power thru. No power to GFCI, no reset.

Very common problem.

GFI issue, thanks

Thank you both, good advice.

As it turns out it was a broken wire in one of the compartment plugins which was part of the circuit.

It was a good experience tracing the wire. I found 5 junction boxes all over the place. The most interesting find was a plugin hidden under a storage cupboard in the bedroom. It was labeled heater and it turns out it is for the engine block heater which explains the trouble I have been having starting the engine here in Canada lately. I would turn on the switch and the indicator light would come on but still hard to start. I found the block heater cable coiled up on the bottom of the area near the plug in, probably never connected from the factory.

I have the same coach and the same problem with no resets on my inverter. I have been at this for over a week. Where were your junction boxes? Where was your broken wire in your basement storage? Which one had the broken wire? Any help is greatly appreciated

Junction boxes

The one that was the hardest to find is in the cabinet next to the closet. You have to remove the panel at the bottom of the cabinet. There are two under the bed, one hidden at the head, hard to get at. There is one under the fridge next to the heater. In the kit under the bottom drawer to the left of the sink, remove the panel, it just pulls straight out.

The other issue I had was the invertor, it has two trip switches on the top, hard to see. I had to use a mirror to see them. you need to turn them off and on a few times. they trip but don't move.

I also replaced the GFI plugin, in the bathroom. It controls the whole circuit for the passenger side of the RV. Use a meter to see if it has power going in.

Good luck
