Grover air pumps

I have a Grover 1167 air pump for my air horns and storage tank, it started taking longer to reach 90psi, then would run all the time and never get above 50 or 60psi so I pulled the power to it and took it out, I contacted Grover products and they said for $150. they would rebuild it, but I see brand new Viair 100% duty cycle pumps in the $90./$100. range,

Grover said any Freightliner parts house would have the rebuild kit if I wanted to do it myself, they will not sell to the public, so I called a few Freightliner parts shops and I've yet to find a single one that has even heard of a Grover air pump, I'm getting the run-around and wasting time on the phone and getting frustrated. Has anyone had any experience with Grover pumps ?
even if I found the kit I'd still have a 23 year old pump probably waiting for something else to fail. Got an old one in your junk pile with a bad motor ? my motor works fine just the compressor is giving me fits.
Or any ideas ? Thanks, Manuel
