Help with hot water heater

Hello guys!

I purchased some property and had the owners add the 2014 evergreen amped 26fs toy hauler in on the deal.

I just got the entire RV cleaned and filled the propane tanks. I got it hooked up turned the electric switch on and waited a few hours, nothing got hot. Turned the propane on and water a few hours and it never fired or got hot. Turn both on, nothing.

I opened up the system and It appears the unit was converted to an on demand tank less water which is just propane, no that explained the electric side not working. So I went outside and it appeared a hack wire job and a wire was touching the frame which blew the fuse. I replaced that and opened up all the faucets, went outside and nothing. I cracked the bypass drain valve on the unit and it fired right up. So I'm guessing it's a pressure switch maybe? I'm hooked up to the water on the house. Anyone know how to test the switch or possibly give some thoughts?

Thank you

It is an Atwood Od-5001.

After more trouble shooting. I noticed the high temp switch was bypassed for some reason, but with a poor wiring job. I mad a splicer with end crimps and trouble shot again after testing 12v voltage through the system. I had my 7 year old in the trailer helping turn the shower on to see if the unit would fire.

When he turned the cold water off and the hot was running for a second before he turned it off the unit fired up. I got him to turn only hot on and it fired up. It appears from what I think, the system needs a incoming regulator as the city water may be to much and when the cold is on it is over pressuring the hot side and not allowing it to flow to some sort. For not i have adjusted the temp to allow for full hot on showers so we can rinse off and i purchased a regulator to see if that will solve the issue, I'll need it anyways. Will update next week on staus when it comes in.

Thanks
