Hot Water Tank - Can a winterized hot water tank be driven?

I recently winterized my ATWOOD hot water tank according to directions. I even flipped off the circuit breaker for the tank. I then drove to fill up on fuel an noticed the pipes connecting the tank to the Heat Exchanger were hot. Is it safe to drive an RV with a winterized hot water tank? It would appear to mean that the engine heat exchanger pipes are running through an empty hot water tank.

Good question, I know on my journey there is a valve to shut off this flow of water to the water heater possibly on yours also.
My concern would be, if the tank got hot and tripped the 110V overheat breaker located at the rear of the heater. Its a bugger to get to.
But would a diesel running a 190deg temp overheat it. i think not. ?????
