Hot Water Without Oasis

This may be a stupid question but with the Oasis burner off and AC1 and AC2 on in our coach there is no hot water. Am I missing something easy and obvious?

I leave the AC 1 and 2 on all the time as the coach is hooked to power. I don't see where those other LED lights are?

Try this to see if the heating strips are working.

While you have the coach plugged in turn AC1 & AC2 off ... and while watching the number of amps being drawn ... turn then back on and see if the amps go up? That should tell you if they are working, I think.

OK I will try that next week when I get back and see if that tells me anything. I don't really have a voltage gauge though? I have the 2 icons on the magnum that show house and chasis battery levels. I guess those will change with the amperage draw?

Yes ... I am referring to the amp read outs on the magnum display.

No. NOT Magnum. You want to see amp draw from 120v sources. Don’t you have a Precision Circuits or something similar ?

pasdad1 ... yes that is what I was thinking of. Don't have a coach to go out and look in at the moment so was going by memory. Thanks for posting the picture.

That doesn't look familiar. I don't have an instrument that looks like that unless it is one of the screens on the inverter. I will check it out next week as I am currently away from the coach. Thanks

I dont have a pic and going from memory as mine is sleeping in storage but you should have a breaker in the 120V distribution panel for those heaters. The switches up front are only the control circuits.

If it's the same as mine, it will only display amp draw on a 30A shore power.

Doesn't display on 50A shore, or Gen power since I have a 10KW 240V Gen.

If the OP has a smaller 120V Gen, I believe it should display amp draw.

Yes. Got back today and went and checked and I do have that display when I scroll though. I just never saw it before. There is warm/hot water coming out now with AC 1 and 2 switched on and they were drawing 11 and 13 amps each for a total of 24. I can't say why the water wasn't hot before but it is pretty good now. New fuel pump on the Oasis so I am good to go. Thanks very much for all the helpful replies. I am learning this coach with the help of good folks on this website!
