hughs autoformer- surge protector

anyone familiar with the hughs autoformer 50 amp surge protector? the company claims that if you get a huge surge, you only have to replace the surge module, not the entire unit.

I have the 50 amp portable and like it very much. One issue, though. The Bluetooth is pretty weak and drops connection with my phone if I have it at the front of the coach. Other than that, this is a good value.
